Specialist support following acute and life-changing events
Are you, or is your child, struggling with emotional, social, physical and/or cognitive changes following a life-changing/ traumatic event, or a build-up of challenging experiences over time?
As a Clinical Psychologist most specifically specialising in trauma and neuro-rehabilitation, I specialise in offering a range of support to promote well-being in children and families, as well as individual adult and parent support.
Following significant life changes such as traumatic brain injury, physical illness or injury, life can change considerably across many different areas. When we don’t quite know how to make sense of what is happening to us, it can feel isolating and many people don’t know where to turn for support.
I offer initial support to help make sense of your experiences, and to process them to enable you to focus back on the things that mean the most to you. This can include direct therapeutic work, and can also include supporting you and/or your child via other places such as school.
Support available (but not limited to):
Understanding and processing trauma, including EMDR
Managing anxiety
Supporting low confidence and self-esteem
Managing complex physical health difficulties
Making sense of cognitive changes and developing strategies to manage difficulties
Traumatic birth and post-natal experiences
Emotion regulation
